The Absence of Your Presence

_20160627_215709.jpg

The scars
of your goodbye;
fester and throb,
each day,
shrouded,
by a deathly pall,
my heart;
hollow and broken,
my mind,
numb,
even time
can’t heal
the absence
of your presence.
My soul ripped apart,
it’s mate forever lost,
it cries,
begs
the heaven
for respite,
but body
stays rooted,
weighed down
by obligations.
So I live
this
wretched
existence,
detached
from everything
and
everyone.
Memories of us
rusting,
until nothing remains
but an echo
of your beautiful
haunting
voice
and
phantom hands
touching
my wrecked
heart.
Your soft gentle
smile,
breathing life
again
into
something so broken
and
forgone.
Love,
Magical
Love;
transcends
life and death,
replacing the broken
pieces
and making
me
want to
live
again.
